After shaking the floor boards in Texas and along the East Coast this Spring, Adam Arcuragi & The Lupine Chorale Society are heading out on the road to bring Death Gospel back across the US in July and August. The band will kick off their month long tour of shows and festivals, late this month.... heading through Kansas City to play The Record Bar, on July 27th.
And what's all this about Death Gospel? Imagine channeling Bill Withers, Waylon Jennings and Nick Drake into a coalesence of sound, incorporating parts and pieces of folk, soul, americana and even gospel music. Combine that with the talents of The Lupine Chorale Society - a group of multifarious and talented musicians from across the country who play under the collective umbrella of the Society - and the music erputs into a veritable tent revival that you can't help but stomp, clap or sing along to ...with enough lyrical satisfaction to work you into a poetic frenzy. Adam and the band recently finished recording a new album with producer Duane Lundy, which is on track to be released through the Thirty Tigers label later this year. They will be touring throughout 2011.
