Matthew and the Atlas have announced details of their new single ‘Nowhere Now’. Set for release on 5th May via Communion Records, ‘Nowhere Now’ is the latest track to be taken from the forthcoming debut album ‘Other Rivers’ which
arrives on April 14th.
‘Nowhere Now’ is the follow up to recent single ‘Pale Sun Rose’
which picked up support from Radio 1‘s Zane Lowe, who featured it as his
Next Hype, and Nowness who referred to it as “elegiac indie folk”. With
Matthew Hegarty’s ever distinctive vocals
at the core, ‘Nowhere Now’ is another slice of powerful balladry,
enriched with the buzz and hum of both electronic and live beats.
‘Other Rivers’ is a moving, full-bodied piece of work that requires an investment of time to truly appreciate its deftness of touch, but crucially it introduces a new British songwriter with an ear for something more wholesome than simply a keening melody or two.

To mark the release of ‘Nowhere Now’, Matthew and the Atlas will head
out on a UK tour with full band in tow and a London headline show at Dingwalls on 30th April. Support on the tour will come from Brooklyn newcomers Wilsen who
arrive in the UK for the first time this April. Matthew and the Atlas will then support Communion label mates Bear’s Den on the German leg of their European tour.
